Zeno Mountain is a world class writing, recording and mixing space in Vermont, designed by legendary architect and acoustician Martin Pilchner, and built by my dad, me and our friend Lars. Construction took us nearly three years. The design borrows from the best rooms I’ve worked in over the last 20 years, and was built in spirit of a workflow that prioritizes collaboration, discovery, and speed. Perched atop an open hillside overlooking a 10 acre meadow, large windows bath the oversized control room in natural light and views of the Adirondack mountain range. The live room is comfortably big and is perhaps the best sounding room I’ve ever been in, and houses an extensive collection of synths, unique stringed instruments, vintage drums, and amps.
